Flu shots found to be totally USELESS for overweight people, yet immunization propaganda claims they work for everyone

While the media and society, in general, are hyper alert to the need to respond to outbreaks of diseases like Ebola, there is an epidemic that is rife across the United States, which continues to spread with very little done to halt its progress. Obesity, which according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now affects more than a third of all American adults, is a silent killer that uses heart disease, stroke, type 2 diabetes and cancer as its weapons. Obesity also puts people at increased risk of dying from complications associated with the flu virus.

While we have all been conditioned to believe that vaccines are the best protection against contracting the flu virus, natural health activists like Mike Adams, the Health Ranger and founder/editor of Natural News, have long warned that the flu shot is not only useless but dangerous. While the mainstream medical community has steadfastly refused to admit this fact, a new study has confirmed that when it comes to obese people, the flu shot is a waste of time and money.

The study was performed by researchers from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, who studied the effects of the flu shot on 1,022 North Carolina adults who were either of a healthy weight, overweight or obese. All the study’s participants had received the trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine during the 2013/14 and 2014/15 flu seasons.

Scientists have long known that the flu virus is particularly deadly for obese people, because it penetrates even more deeply into their lungs, causing serious, hard to treat damage. Doctors have therefore been quick to advise that obese people get their flu vaccinations to prevent getting sick in the first place, but the study found that such vaccines do little if anything to prevent them from getting sick.

The researchers discovered that close to 10 percent of obese participants developed the flu or flu-like illnesses, compared to only 5.1 percent of those who were at a healthy, normal weight.

“Vaccinated obese adults are twice as likely to develop influenza and influenza-like illnesses compared to vaccinated healthy weight adults,” said co-author Melinda Beck.

Interestingly, serum samples taken from all the participants both before and after their vaccinations, showed no difference in antibody counts between participants who got sick and those who did not, or between obese people and those who were at a healthy weight.

This study backs up earlier research by St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which found that vaccines with higher doses or “fortified” by the addition of adjuvants were still unable to protect obese mice from the flu virus.

“The obese mice were found to have lower antibody and neutralizing antibody levels, while registering higher levels of the virus itself. Moreover, the obese mice did not note the additional protection from severe influenza infections … that lean mice enjoyed. A fourfold increase in the A(H7N9) vaccine dose did boost immune response in mice of all weights, but it did not protect the obese ones from dying of the flu,” Natural News reported last year. The fact is, rather than trying to increase the dosages of flu vaccines or trying to add adjuvants to make them more effective, doctors should be giving their obese patients a stern talking to and advising them to lose weight immediately. The flu virus is just one of a plethora of serious health issues caused by obesity, and the wave of deaths caused by this condition will only recede once the medical community starts telling people to cut out junk food, eat whole, unprocessed, non-GMO, antibiotic and hormone-free foods, and to get off their couches and start exercising.
